Warm Weather Shipping Disclaimer:

Please Note: Giraffe Nuts is not responsible for melting or other damage caused by heat exposure during shipping.

During the summer months we only ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure your package is delivered quickly and arrives in the best condition possible. This helps avoid the risk of packages sitting in a postal transit facility over the weekend. We will do our best to ensure your product arrives in the absolute best condition possible, though we cannot guarantee these heat-sensitive products will arrive in perfect shape. To help prevent this, insulated box liners and ice packs are included with your order. Due to delays and extreme weather conditions, we do not guarantee these products will remain cool during transit even with cold packing. By default, typically orders ship within 2-4 business days, although overnight shipping is highly advised. You can do your part by choosing an expedited shipping option.

* Be home for delivery! Choose a delivery address where someone will be available to accept the package so it doesn’t sit outside in the heat.We are not responsible for packages left outside after delivery where products may melt.

* If the box feels warm, open immediately to expose your sweets to cooler indoor air. If caramels or chocolate has softened at all, give it a chance to firm up again before handling further.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within three weeks of your return, however, in most cases you will receive a refund much sooner. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping

We can ship to most addresses in the United States. Note that there are certain restrictions shipping products to some states, and products cannot be shipped to international destinations. The shipping carrier will be chosen at our discretion but will be one of the following: United State Postal Service (USPS), FedEx or United Parcel Service (UPS). Special shipping requests can be made via email but may incur an additional shipping cost.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. You can expect shipments to be sent within 24-48 hours of order placement provided the ordered item is in stock.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
